Godanti Powder- Gowdanti - Selenite - Gypsum

Ayurvedic Godanti Bhasma is a mineral-based remedy made from gypsum. It has a lot of naturally occurring calcium and sulphur. Godanti Bhasma, also known as PITTAJ JWARA in Ayurveda, is said to be helpful for high-grade fever, headache, persistent fever, malaria, vaginitis, leucorrhea, excessive uterine bleeding, non-productive cough, and bleeding problems.

The following steps are involved in the Godanti Bhasma preparation process.

1. Cleaning of gypsum
2. Gypsum is ground and pulverised to create a fine powder.
3. Gypsum powder is ground and triturated with Aloe Vera juice.
4. Making a few, little cakes
5. The thin cakes are heated and calcined at a high temperature of 200 to 500 degrees Celsius in earthen pots.

Note:

In addition to lemon juice, calotropis procera leaves, and neem leaves, some ayurvedic doctors also substitute these substances for aloe vera juice.

Neem Godanti is a version of Godanti Bhasma made with neem leaf juice. Typhoid fever and persistent fevers can benefit from it.
